Our client is part of a global company, specialising in manufacturing, distribution and servicing a diverse range of products and engineered solutions in the field of bulk material handling systems.

They are planning for the management and expansion of their current Australian Business activities, which means they are looking to appoint a SERVICE GENERAL MANAGER : CONVEYOR CARE to join their growing team, based in Perth.

This is not your typical ‘Service’ role in that you’ll also be heavily involved with the business development team, as well as overseeing the recruitment function within the service department.

It’s a diverse, challenging and rewarding role, which is critical to the success of the business moving forward.

What does the role entail?

o   Manage and oversee the Service Operations of the conveyor division, including product sales to service clients.

o   Responsible for the effective and successful management of labour, productivity, quality control and safety measures.

o   Oversee and assist in the preparation of service and supply tenders and quotations to quality proposals and competitive rates are submitted.

o   Oversee the Service Delivery process from planning through execution and review, with a focus on identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

o   Establish and maintain client relationships at a management and corporate level to facilitate smooth contract execution.

o   Oversee staff recruitment and staff training requirements.

What do you need to excel in this role?

o   A demonstrated ‘client-facing’ background within an engineering company and significant exposure to the mining sector

o   Experience in either a service or technical support role, ideally conveyor systems

o   Fantastic interpersonal skills and the ability to self-motivate

o   A Degree / Diploma in either an Engineering or Business discipline
